In our September meeting of 2024, we had the pleasure of listening in to Karl-Emmanuel’s presentation covering his paper that recently appeared in Human Relations, “The pragmatic cycle of knowledge work: Unlocking cross-domain collaboration in open innovation spaces”. Following Karl-Emmanuel, Eric von Hippel and Sandro Kaulartz presented recent ideas about researching user innovation with ethnographic methods. Their ideas were complemented by a discussion with Philipp Tuertscher and Paolo Leone about their experiences with their work where they employ interviews and ethnographic data to study user innovation.
